Total lard production reached 5,854,313 tonnes in 2014 in the World according to Faostat. This is 3.64 % less than in the previous year and 11.0 % more than 10 years ago.
Historically, total lard production reached an all time high of 6,067,574 tonnes in 2013 and an all time low of 3,274,261 tonnes in 1961. The average annual growth amounted to 1.10 % since 1961.
The top ranked country, China, accounted for 39.5 % of lard production in the world. The top 3 countries hold a 57.8 % share while the ten largest countries some 82.7 % in 2014.
