What Banks in Vietnam Were the Largest in 2019?

Based on a comparison of 15 banks in Vietnam in 2019, BIDV was the largest bank by assets, followed by VietinBank and Vietcombank.

BIDV assets reached VND 1,490,100 bil, up 13.5% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s assets reached an all time high of VND 1,490,100 bil in 2019 and an all time low of VND 201,382 bil in 2007.

Comparing BIDV with its closest peers, VietinBank assets amounted to VND 1,240,790 bil, Vietcombank operated with VND 1,223,980 bil assets and Sacombank had total assets of VND 453,581 bil.
