What Banks in Vietnam Generated the Most Revenues in 2018?

Based on a comparison of 15 banks in Vietnam in 2018, BIDV generated the largest revenues, followed by Vietcombank and Vietnam Prosperity Bank.

BIDV reported total revenues of VND 44,599 bil, up 4.14% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of VND 44,599 bil in 2018 and an all time low of VND 6,140 bil in 2007. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to VND 34,452 bil.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 3.40% of total assets in 2018, up from 3.56% a year earlier.

Comparing BIDV with its closest peers, Vietcombank generated total revenues of VND 43,151 bil, or 4.02% of assets in 2018, Vietnam Prosperity Bank operated with VND 33,897 bil total income, or 10.5% revenue margin and VietinBank produced total income worth VND 30,859 bil, or 2.65% of assets.
