Banca Commerciala Romana assets reached RON 70,931 mil, up 5.06% when compared to the last year. Historically, the bank’s assets reached an all time high of RON 76,746 mil in 2011 and an all time low of RON 9,988 mil in 2000.
Comparing Banca Commerciala Romana with its closest peers, Banca Transilvania assets amounted to RON 59,805 mil, BRD Groupe Societe Generale operated with RON 54,927 mil assets and UniCredit Tiriac Bank had total assets of RON 43,499 mil.
Total assets of the Romanian banking sector amounted to RON 406 bil in 2017, up 8.05% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - Banca Commerciala Romana accounted for 17.5% of the sector’s assets in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 45.7% share while the five largest firms some 65.5% in 2017.
