Royal Bank of Scotland Group's capital adequacy ratio reached 21.8% at the end of 2018, up from 21.3% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 24.7% in 2015 and an all time low of 9.40% in 1988.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 18.4% at the end of 2018, up from 17.9% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 84.5% at the end of 2018, down from 88.1% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 144%.
