Historically, poultry meat production in Kenya reached an all time high of 132 kt in 2018 and an all time low of 7.25 kt in 1961. When compared to Kenya's main peers, poultry meat production in Ethiopia amounted to 70.1 kt, 3.91 kt in Somalia, 87.5 kt in Tanzania and 68.4 kt in Uganda in 2021.
