Pork meat consumption per capita rose 11.8% to 33.6 kg in China in 2021, according to Faostat.

Historically, pork meat consumption per capita in China reached an all time high of 39.9 kg in 2016 and an all time low of 2.04 kg in 1961. When compared to China's main peers, pork meat consumption per capita in India amounted to 0.230 kg, 21.9 kg in Japan, 28.4 kg in Russia and 29.7 kg in USA in 2021.
