Piraeus Bank Bulgaria's capital adequacy ratio reached 23.4% at the end of 2017, up from 22.8% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 28.5% in 2014 and an all time low of 14.9% in 2008.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 18.6% at the end of 2017, up from 17.7% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 63.1% at the end of 2017, down from 67.7% when compared to the previous year.
Comparing Piraeus Bank Bulgaria with its closest peers, DSK Bank ended the year 2017 with a capital adequacy ratio at 17.1% and loans to deposits of 66.2%, United Bulgarian Bank with 24.3% and 56.0% respectively and Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria some 31.6% in terms of capital adequacy and 82.2% of loans to deposits at the end of 2017.
