Comparing UniCredit Bulbank with its closest peers, DSK Bank assets amounted to BGN 12,359 mil, First Investment Bank operated with BGN 8,921 mil assets and Eurobank Bulgaria had total assets of BGN 7,421 mil.
Total assets of the Bulgarian banking sector amounted to BGN 97.8 bil in 2017, up 6.20% when compared to the last year. As a result, the top ranked company - UniCredit Bulbank accounted for 20.7% of the sector’s assets in 2017. The top 3 companies held a 42.5% share while the five largest firms some 57.6% in 2017.
