Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 4.25% in 4Q2018 and an all time low of 1.70% in 3Q2020. The average margin in the last six quarters amounted to 3.28%.
Average asset yield was 3.61% in 2Q2024, down from 6.71% when compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 1.10% in 2Q2024, down from 3.52%.
When compared to bank's main peers, Ceska Sporitelna operated in the second quarter of 2024 with a net interest margin of 1.85% CSOB reached 1.56% and Komercni Banka some 1.56%.
