Intesa Sanpaolo's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.7% at the end of fourth quarter of 2019, down from 17.8% when compared to the previous quarter. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 17.9% in 1Q2018 and an all time low of 9.00% in 4Q2000.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 15.3% at the end of fourth quarter of 2019, up from 15.2% compared to the same period of last year and down from 15.6% when compared to the the previous quarter.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 89.2% at the end of 4Q2019, down from 120% when compared to the same period of last year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 179%.
