Intesa Sanpaolo's capital adequacy ratio reached 17.7% at the end of 2019, down from 17.7% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 17.9% in 2017 and an all time low of 8.29% in 1998.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 15.3% at the end of 2019, up from 15.2% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 89.2% at the end of 2019, down from 120% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 179%.
