Banca Transilvania's net interest margin amounted to 3.09% in the fourth quarter of 2020, up from 2.91% when compared to the previous quarter.
Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 8.04% in 4Q2015 and an all time low of 1.06% in 4Q2018. The average margin in the last six quarters amounted to 2.81%.
Average asset yield was 3.75% in 4Q2020, up from 1.89% when compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 0.684% in 4Q2020, down from 0.833%.
When compared to bank's main peers, BRD Groupe Societe Generale operated in the fourth quarter of 2020 with a net interest margin of 3.38%.
