Alfa Bank's capital adequacy ratio reached 18.2% at the end of 2018, up from 17.4% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 21.7% in 2015 and an all time low of 9.20% in 2008.
The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 17.3% at the end of 2018, up from 15.7% compared to a year earlier.
Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 92.5% at the end of 2018, down from 93.9% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 143%.
Comparing Alfa Bank with its closest peers, Sberbank ended the year 2018 with a capital adequacy ratio at 12.4% and loans to deposits of 93.7% and VTB Bank with 13.5% and 103% respectively.
