Scania AB or Scania Group is a major Swedish automotive industry manufacturer of commercial vehicles - specifically heavy trucks and buses. It also manufactures diesel engines for motive power of heavy vehicles, marine, and general industrial applications. Its activities are divided into two business areas: Vehicles and Services, and Financial Services. The Vehicles and Services business area comprises the Company's offering of trucks, designed for long-distance and distribution haulage as well as construction duties and public services, buses and coaches, for use as tourist coaches and in scheduled intercity and urban service, engines, used in electric generator sets, construction and agricultural machinery as well as in ships and boats. Scania's logo shows a Griffin, from the coat of arms of the Swedish province of Scania.
