Česká pošta (Czech Post) is the state-owned postal company of the Czech Republic. Having its roots in the Austria's Habsburg Monarchy, the state-owned enterprise Czechoslovak Post has been set up in the early 1925 following the formation of the Czechoslovak state. In 1993 (as the Czechoslovakia split), the Czech Post became a state-owned enterprise with independent financing managed by the Ministry Of Internal Affairs.
Nowadays, Česká pošta offers a wide range of postal services through a network of over 3,000 branches employing more than 32,000 persons.
