Based on a comparison of 14 countries in 2016, France ranked the highest in usable production of PGI white wine with 3,596 1,000 hl followed by Spain and Hungary. On the other end of the scale was Belgium with 0.600 1,000 hl, Slovakia with 1.65 1,000 hl and Malta with 4.90 1,000 hl.
