Based on a comparison of 6 countries in 2017, Australia ranked the highest in unbleached sulphite pulp production with 490,000 kt followed by Russia and Dem. People's Republic of Korea. On the other end of the scale was Belarus with 9,000 kt, Italy with 13,768 kt and Belgium with 33,537 kt.
