Based on a comparison of 157 countries in 2013, Ghana ranked the highest in starchy root consumption per capita with 419 kg followed by Ivory Coast and Benin. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 6.60 kg, Honduras with 7.90 kg and Gambia with 8.50 kg.
