Based on a comparison of 25 countries in 2016, Turkey ranked the highest in number of live sheep with 30,984 '000 followed by Spain and Romania. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 11.5 '000, Latvia with 107 '000 and Lithuania with 164 '000.
