Based on a comparison of 27 countries in 2012, Spain ranked the highest in share of pupils at isced level 3 (gen) learning 1 foreign language with 72.5% followed by Ireland and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Liechtenstein with 0%, Slovenia with 0.300% and Finland with 0.400%.
