Share of pupils at isced level 1 learning 1 foreign language reached 57.6% in 2012 in Romania, according to Eurostat. This is 1.54% less than in the previous year.

Historically, share of pupils at isced level 1 learning 1 foreign language in Romania reached an all time high of 71.9% in 1998 and an all time low of 56.1% in 2004.
