Based on a comparison of 18 countries in 2011, Turkey ranked the highest in Share of Population reading Newspapers in the last 12 months by Education - Never - Pre-primary, primary and lower secondary education (levels 0-2) with 42.7% followed by Romania and Bulgaria. On the other end of the scale was Austria with 5.30%, Latvia with 6.80% and Czechia with 7.60%.
