Sesame seed production reached 138,000 tonnes in 2022 in Uganda, according to Faostat. This is 2.82% less than in the previous year.
Historically, sesame seed production in Uganda reached an all time high of 168,000 tonnes in 2007 and an all time low of 16,000 tonnes in 1979.
