Sesame oil production reached 16,800 tonnes in 2014 in Mexico, according to Faostat. This is 26.3% more than in the previous year.
Historically, sesame oil production in Mexico reached an all time high of 79,909 tonnes in 1964 and an all time low of 1,700 tonnes in 1995.
Mexico has been ranked 12th within the group of 60 countries we follow in terms of sesame oil production.
