Based on a comparison of 42 countries in 2020, China ranked the highest in sales of electric cars with 1,060 thousand followed by Germany and USA. On the other end of the scale was Cyprus with 0.042 thousand, South Africa with 0.228 thousand and Bulgaria with 0.237 thousand.
