Based on a comparison of 31 countries in 2015, Malta ranked the highest in pupils between 4 years and the starting age of compulsory education (as % of the corresponding age g with 102% followed by France and Denmark. On the other end of the scale was Macedonia with 25.6%, Turkey with 51.7% and Croatia with 72.4%.
