Public debt reached USD 17.6 bil in 2023 in Azerbaijan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 6.75% less than in the previous year.
Historically, public debt in Azerbaijan reached an all time high of USD 22.1 bil in 2019 and an all time low of USD 1.18 bil in 2000.
Azerbaijan has been ranked 97th within the group of 166 countries we follow in terms of public debt.
