Based on a comparison of 26 countries in 2015, Spain ranked the highest in Protected Terrestrial Area (km2) with 137,757 km2 followed by France and Poland. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 41.0 km2, Luxembourg with 702 km2 and Cyprus with 1,653 km2.
