Production of Passenger Cars in Japan

Production of passenger cars reached 7,765 thousand in 2023 in Japan, according to ACEA. This is 18.3% more than in the previous year.

Historically, production of passenger cars in Japan reached an all time high of 9,948 thousand in 1990 and an all time low of 165 thousand in 1960.
