Production of heavy commercial vehicles reached 405 thousand in 2020 in Japan, according to ACEA. This is 20.0% less than in the previous year.

Historically, production of heavy commercial vehicles in Japan reached an all time high of 773 thousand in 2003 and an all time low of 372 thousand in 2009.
