Based on a comparison of 37 countries in 2022, Egypt ranked the highest in production of dates with 1,733,432 tonnes followed by Saudi Arabia and Algeria. On the other end of the scale was Colombia with 56.0 tonnes, Djibouti with 131 tonnes and Swaziland with 310 tonnes.
