Based on a comparison of 13 countries in 2009, Malta ranked the highest in price of agricultural land with 130,000 EUR/ha followed by Netherlands and Denmark. On the other end of the scale was Lithuania with 971 EUR/ha, Latvia with 1,015 EUR/ha and Slovakia with 1,256 EUR/ha.
