Pig iron production reached 81,011 kt in 2015 in Japan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 3.41% less than in the previous year.
Historically, pig iron production in Japan reached an all time high of 86,771 kt in 2007 and an all time low of 458 kt in 1979.
