Based on a comparison of 32 countries in 2012, Iceland ranked the highest in Participation in Tertiary Education (ISCED 1997) by Field of Education - Total - First and second stage of tertiary education (levels 5 and 6) - Females - As % of Population Aged 20-29 with 57.9% followed by Finland and Lithuania. On the other end of the scale was Luxembourg with 9.60%, Macedonia with 21.4% and Malta with 24.1%.
