Based on a comparison of 10 countries in 2016, Spain ranked the highest in Olives - Area (cultivation/harvested/production) with 2,515 1,000 ha followed by Italy and Turkey. On the other end of the scale was Montenegro with 0.090 1,000 ha, Slovenia with 1.17 1,000 ha and Cyprus with 10.6 1,000 ha.
