Based on a comparison of 48 countries in 2017, USA ranked the highest in oil production with 571 mil tonnnes followed by Saudi Arabia and Russia. On the other end of the scale was Syria with 1.08 mil tonnnes, Yemen with 2.06 mil tonnnes and Tunisia with 2.41 mil tonnnes.
