Oil consumption reached 624 mil tonnnes in 2017 in the European Union, according to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy. This is 1.49% more than in the previous year.
Historically, oil consumption in the European Union reached an all time high of 778 mil tonnnes in 1979 and an all time low of 401 mil tonnnes in 1965.
