Based on a comparison of 20 countries in 2005, Romania ranked the highest in number of sheep herd holders with 537 '000 followed by Bulgaria and United Kingdom. On the other end of the scale was Malta with 1.00 '000, Cyprus with 2.00 '000 and Finland with 2.00 '000.
