Based on a comparison of 139 countries in 2021, India ranked the highest in number of pupils in primary education with 122,379 '000 followed by China and Indonesia. On the other end of the scale was Monaco with 1.93 '000, Liechtenstein with 1.98 '000 and Cayman Islands with 4.27 '000.
