Based on a comparison of 56 countries in 2012, Russia ranked the highest in number of police officers with 746,996 persons followed by USA and Brazil. On the other end of the scale was Iceland with 759 persons, Luxembourg with 1,736 persons and Malta with 1,902 persons.
