Based on a comparison of 4 countries in 2007, Hungary ranked the highest in number of pigs holders with a herd size of 1-9 sows with 44.0 '000 followed by Bulgaria and Germany. On the other end of the scale was Czechia with 8.00 '000, Germany with 8.00 '000 and Bulgaria with 10.0 '000.
