Based on a comparison of 28 countries in 2016, Germany ranked the highest in number of passenger cars with a petrol engine with 30.0 mil followed by United Kingdom and Italy. On the other end of the scale was Liechtenstein with 0.020 mil, Luxembourg with 0.138 mil and Malta with 0.194 mil.
