Number of maritime oil tankers reached 8,907 vessels in 2011 in India, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.08% less than in the previous year.
Historically, number of maritime oil tankers in India reached an all time high of 9,005 vessels in 2010 and an all time low of 2,890 vessels in 1991.
