Number of maritime merchant vessels reached 159 vessels in 2011 in Latvia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 12.1% less than in the previous year.
Historically, number of maritime merchant vessels in Latvia reached an all time high of 1,355 vessels in 1993 and an all time low of 47.0 vessels in 2003.
