Based on a comparison of 37 countries in 2017, Canada ranked the highest in mechanical wood pulp production with 6,836,351 kt followed by Sweden and Finland. On the other end of the scale was Madagascar with 400 kt, Ecuador with 2,000 kt and Costa Rica with 2,800 kt.
