Lignite coal production reached 46,297 kt in 2015 in Turkey, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 32.9% less than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Turkey reached an all time high of 83,964 kt in 2008 and an all time low of 15,949 kt in 1980.
