Lignite coal production reached 85,912 kt in 2015 in Russia, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 4.74% more than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Russia reached an all time high of 135,614 kt in 1992 and an all time low of 76,072 kt in 2009.
