Lignite coal production reached 28,090 kt in 2015 in Romania, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 8.51% more than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Romania reached an all time high of 56,317 kt in 1989 and an all time low of 24,014 kt in 1999.
