Lignite coal production reached 39,528 kt in 2015 in Bulgaria, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 14.7% more than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 40,907 kt in 2011 and an all time low of 27,212 kt in 2005.
Bulgaria has been ranked 12th within the group of 35 countries we follow in terms of lignite coal production.
